Happy Monday! Can you believe there’s only a week left of January?! I honestly have no idea where time is going anymore. However, that also means we’re hurtling faster toward spring, so I can’t complain 🙂
One week until February also means only one week until GetFit starts! My team is assembled, I have my training plan at the ready, and I am itching to get started.
As I wrote in my last post, GetFit is a 12-week fitness challenge, with increasing goals for minutes exercised every week. So, for the next 3 months, I will be getting my wanting-to-be-hibernating lazy buns in gear for (at least) the following chunks of time:
- Week 1 — 150 minutes (about 22 minutes per day)
- Week 2 — 165 minutes
- Week 3 — 180 minutes
- Week 4 — 195 minutes
- Week 5 — 210 minutes
- Week 6 — 225 minutes
- Week 7 — 225 minutes
- Week 8 — 245 minutes
- Week 9 — 260 minutes
- Week 10 — 280 minutes
- Week 11 — 300 minutes
- Week 12 — 300 minutes (about 43 minutes per day)
I also had a brainstorm to wear Simon for the entirety of the program (in addition to a GPS watch, it’s also a step counter) to see how my daily step count changes as the weeks go by. Whether I’ll actually do that remains to be seen, but the opportunity to possibly make a graph gets my inner nerd pretty stoked, so we’ll see.
